Time is an amazing thing in that we never have enough of it and sometimes it feels like an eternity. The fine balance between time well spent and time wasted some consider a science. It does seem that the busier you are, the less time you have, but ever notice how productive you are during those times? And what about when you have nothing to do, ever notice how the sands of time just seem to slip through the hour glass? Before you know it, it’s time to make dinner and oh wait, you still need to go to the grocery store.

The best way to make effective use of your time is to schedule yourself but be flexible. A hard fast schedule makes Suzy dull and predictable. Nothing ever goes according to plan, but you can certainly try to plan out your day and be sure to include time for yourself. (After all, there is a reason there is ME in the word TIME). But don’t try and schedule too much and think you are going to conquer the world in a day. A good rule of thumb to follow is to limit yourself to three or four things  a day on  your ‘to-do’ list. Anything more than seven and you are just setting yourself up for failure.

I am serious about setting time aside for yourself. Whether it’s meditation, quiet time, exercise or shopping. You need to recharge your batteries otherwise you are no good to those around you. Besides, don’t you deserve to be rewarded for all of your hard work? Of course you do!
